My Adventure Plein Air
Beauty is where you find it. And sometimes it’s found by climbing over a few fences to get to an unusual subject. That’s part of what makes outdoor painting (plein air) so interesting to me. There are always new and interesting things to be discovered and painted.

Sorry for not posting this earlier I was busy getting ready for the November paint out. But better late than never in posting this one.
Last month Hubby and I went to Eureka Springs Arkansas with OPS (Outdoor Painters Society).
hubby had ask me to scale down my painting gear. Last moth it took up the hold back seat and there was no place to put the ice chest or anything else.
So I agree and what a disaster that was. I could not paint with what I brought. I wanted to cry… But I remember that I had brought my drawing bag and that is what I use on the paint out.
Here is what I drew.

Hubby wanted to go to the Promised Land Zoo which is a drive thru zoo in Eagle Rock, Missouri.
As we were leaving I saw these trees and I told hubby I wanted to draw them and I did with my pens…

After we left the zoo we drove up to Roaring River State Park. as we are driving I see this long old barn that is leaning I wanted to take a picture of it but Hubby thought I wanted to draw it. So he park and tells me to take my time drawing. Well I did not have the heart to tell him all i wanted to do was take a photo of it. So I keep quite for once and draw the old barn. all the time I am thinning we are going to get in trouble for being here but later I found out that the barn belongs to the park so we were OK being there.

We are still in Beaver Town, Akansas.
This pen drawing is a portion of the Golden Gate Bridge of the Ozarks, which is a copied from the Golden Gate Bridge of San Francisco, California.
The only difference between the two Bridges is the Golden Gate in Arkansas is a one-lane bridge with the wooden Road. It is so cool but a little scary to drive over it.
